In this article, I will be providing a Market Analysis and project review of Gaimin.io. This is perhaps one of the more interesting projects I have personally run across on this past year, the concept is proven and easy to demonstrate with Validation and Alpha results. Gaimin.io has the trifecta for what we want to see in a project; proven concept, strong investment potential, and a very active and experienced team.

The Market
Gaming is the largest entertainment market on the planet, almost 1/3 of the world population is a “gamer”. This Global Gaming Community represents 1.3 billion Gamers, and more than $200 Billion of GPU data processing capacity that mainly sets dormant. With blockchain gaming in particular the 2018 Game Developers Conference held record attendance of 28,000 demonstrating a very solid foundation of professionals and a rapidly growing blockchain gaming industry. At the Madrid Games Week. Gaimin.io not only gave presentations, but proved their market validation as well. With all this in mind the Asia-Pacific region is where we look to now, and is overall the most crucial region making up more than half of all Gamers globally.

The APAC territories will generate $71.4 billion, or 52%, of the total global game revenues. For the savvy eyed investor, this represents a +17.0% year-on-year increase.

In addition a market study conducted by LendEDU September 2018 revealed that: “Out of a thousand gamer’s who were found to spend anywhere between 6 to 10 hours playing a game of their choice, nearly 69% of them made use of micropayments — with each individual, on average, spending $84.67 in the game.” Gamers are already accustomed to purchasing in game upgrades, but most games giving tokens for micropayments are non-crypto backed, and as a majority require a fiat payment.

Current gaming market = 1.3 billion gaming PCs
1% market penetration = 13 million games
0.1% = 1.3 million Gamers

With 69% of Gamers already utilizing micropayments this comprises a huge market of eager users. Gaimin offers an easier, cheaper, and all together more eloquent solution just by utilizing GPU power during downtime. Gaimin anticipates strong user adoption and retention due to proven alpha testing results, viral growth nature of gaming world, Madrid Games Week market validation, and gamer market accessibility. For the potential investor, this growth rate is not something to be overlooked.

Specifically with more mainstream publishers and developers, I was curious as to how Gaimin intends to integrate with them so I asked this to Gamin.io CMO Andrew Faridani:

Q: “How does Gaimin intend to integrate with more mainstream software developers and Publishers?”

A: “We have conversations ongoing now with certain publishers and developers, and the plan is to incorporate them into our online marketplace, work with them to accept our GMRX token directly, or simply use one of the exciting new payment technologies that are being developed, that allow for seamless payments to be made in cryptos. One of the major impacts blockchain will have on the gaming industry is in payments.”

What does all this mean for the investor? This means there is a huge market of gamers, un-tapped resources, and a project offering a solution well ahead of the curve considering competitors.

It’s also well to note that Gaimin has a clear 3 year plan and multiple sources of revenue including a platform subscription, Marketplace, and transnational fees. For the end user Gaimin’s value proposition is simple: “Connect to our network and we’ll help you pay for your gaming”.

To achieve this, rather than spending billions of dollars on building dedicated resource farms, Gaimin.io connects the world’s largest supply of distributed GPU processing power, which belongs to the 1.3 billion gaming PCs in the global gaming community.

From our own work with Gaimin.io I can confirm that Gaimin has hit all milestones on their roadmap, and ahead of schedule sometimes. With what we can expect in 2020 I inquired with Gaimin:

Q: “I see on the roadmap Gaimin is on schedule, and from my own personal experience I see that you’ve hit your milestones. What can we expect in 2020?”

A: “We’ll keep that latest version of the roadmap on our website. Next year, 2020, will be a massive year for us. In 2019, we proved the concept, built a team and set the foundations. 2020 will be the year of our official software launch and then serious promotion. We are very excited about what’s in store!”

Q: “With upcoming marketing what is Gaimin’s strategy to locate and acquire gamers?”

A: “Mainly influencers, events, and direct advertising. We have a detailed outline of our marketing strategy in our whitepaper, where we have systematically identify niche markets and segments to target by a different platforms to spread the word very quickly. Our marketing department has a vast knowledge and experience in subscription-based model businesses, and we cannot wait to get started on this program.”

With my final question I was curious as to if anyone can utilize this platform, or only those with high-end gaming systems. That answer is pleasantly surprising.

Q: “I have a basic gaming system with a more low end GPU, is it still effective for me to use my own low-end GPU? Can I refer my gaming friends to make use of Gaimin.io platform?”

A: “Absolutely. The beautiful thing about our platform is that no matter what your GPU speed, you will be able to benefit and get in-game assets, software, hardware plus additional items for your systems performance. If you have any gaming network of friends, whom have faster computers, you can leverage their PCs in gaining more GMRX tokens via our network expansion program. It’s a win-win situation for everyone.”

Gaimin.io has everything we look for; a strong and active team, strong founders, conference participation, proven concept, alpha testing results, user growth projections, multiple sources of revenue, and (my favorite) easy solution for the end user where they are rewarded just for their downtime!
